Always Dream Foundation - Kristi Yamaguchi’s organization whose sole purpose is to inspire and embrace the hopes and dreams of children; serves CA, NV, HI


Burke Adams Special Needs Sports Program

BASNSP has been providing the opportunity for all children with disabilities in East Greenbush, New York and the surrounding communities to participate in organized sports programs regardless of their need for assistance during play. Programs include baseball, basketball, bowling, football, TOP Soccer, and track and field.

Disabled Children's Relief Fund  New York - a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization,  provides disabled children with assistance to obtain wheelchairs, orthopedic braces, walkers, lifts, hearing aids, eyeglasses, medical equipment, physical therapy, and surgery. Blind, Deaf, Amputees, and children with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spastic Quadriplegia, Encephalitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Spina Bifida, Down's Syndrome, and other disabilities receive assistance. DCRF focuses special attention on helping children throughout the U.S. that do not have adequate health insurance, especially the physically challenged.

National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) - Online discussion of “Parental Roles in Facilitating and Supporting an Active Lifestyle for a Child with a Disability


Partners for Youth with Disabilities (online only) - Connects youth with disabilities with adult mentors and peers, with similar disabilities, in a safe, online community


Pediatric SCI Rehabilitation Programs - Shriners Hospitals for Children include 3 hospitals that have pediatric spinal cord injury programs that specifically meet the needs of children and teens; locations Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA, Sacramento, CA


All Kids Can - A disabilities awareness program that helps students of all ages learn attitudes of acceptance, dignity and respect, especially toward those with disabilities.


Apple Dumplin Camp

Provides an awesome camp experience for children with disabilities as well as disadvantaged children. Campers can experience life as it was in the 1880's. Trail rides, chuck wagon roundups, archery/riflery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, are just some of the adventures at Apple Dumplin' Camp.

Camp Ronald McDonald - A fully accessible residential camp for kids with special needs located in the high Sierra.


KidsCom - Site has plenty of games, message boards, kids chat, video game cheats, contests and prizes


National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions  - Not-for-profit organization of children's hospitals … including those that specialize in rehabilitative care of children with serious chronic or congenital illnesses; works to ensure the health of all children.


National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHY) - Serves as a national, central source of information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth


The Startbright Foundation - Develops multi-media and technology projects that empower seriously ill children to deal with the medical and emotional challenges they face on a daily basis.
